In 2004, the first anthology of poets from the Spanish diplomatic career appeared. And in that anthology, they included my poem “Dinner with the Moon” contained on page 90 of “Moon in Love”.

DINNER WITH THE MOON

Today I dined with the moon

the two of us alone.

In a bar a table

and only me there.

In front of me opened up

an immense sea

and shimmering on its forehead

my friend and the wind.

The ice cream is good,

I said to her,

her face smiled,

she looked very beautiful.

People passing by

were still surprised

to see a girl

unaccompanied.

But it’s because they didn’t see

that I was dining

with the moon alone

next to my soul.
