On November 14, 2016, the moon approached the Earth much closer than usual, an event that had not taken place since January 1948 and which meant that we saw the largest supermoon in the last 70 years (14% larger and 30% brighter than a regular full moon).
A friend of a friend took a photo of that full moon rising on Algarrobo Beach in Malaga (Spain).
When I received that photo, I fell in love with that moon and painted it in oils, once again in the studio of my friends and teachers, Gema and Rosa, Taller de Arte Matiz, with their support and guidance.
They were also the ones who made me a circular frame with a diameter of 88 cm.
