Madrid is the European capital situated at the highest altitude above sea level. Perhaps that is why the skies in Madrid, especially at sunset, are extraordinarily beautiful.

I invite you to let your imagination run wild with them, and I can assure you that the real skies were a thousand times more beautiful, but my cameras haven’t managed to capture all that beauty…

Furthermore, as due to my health conditions, I’m really sensitive to electromagnetic fields and environmental pollution, I’ve decided that, for the time being, I won’t be living in that flat of mine in Madrid anymore. I’ll see what I do with it: whether I sell it, rent it out, or let my friends stay there…
In light of this, this post on my website is, in a way (a dreamlike and virtual way), my way of saying goodbye to a flat that has given me so many precious moments – above all, so many breathtaking sunsets – over so many years….
And precisely because the person with whom I’ve most enjoyed the sunsets whose photos I’m posting here has been my beloved only daughter, Ainoa, I dedicate this post to her and her partner, Manolo, on their tenth anniversary on 8 September 2026… Congratulations, my darlings! May life continue to bring you endless blessings!
